This month, there are many ways we can tend the soil of our hearts to bear a fruitful harvest:

  • Lenten studies of "Why Did Jesus Have to Die?" and "From Jesus to Christ"

  • Spending time at the all-church blanket making for the Delaware County Victim Assistance Center

  • Joining our hospitality guests at the Pancake Breakfast on March 22!

Traditionally, autumn brings the abundance of harvest. In October's newsletter, we find ways to think about and apply good stewardship of our own abundance:

  • Revisit the parable of the rich man's storehouses

  • Donating through Operation Christmas Child and the World Mission Offering

  • Celebrating at the Golden Harvest Jubilee Fall Fair and the annual Church Hayride and Bonfire

Recently, an old treasure was discovered tucked away in a dusty corner. Back in our days as the Baptist Temple in Philadelphia, we kept an honor roll plaque for members who served in the military in World War II.

Long-time member Joan Frizzell was able to identify the plaque and the names of many relatives of current and past members.

Lt. Clark V. Poling, highlighted at the top of the plaque, was one of the chaplains honored by the Four Chaplains Memorial Foundation. The foundation's Chapel of the Four Chaplains has picked up the plaque from our Blue Bell church, ideally for restoration and display.
