Rev. Dr. George M Hawthorne, Senior Minister

George became the 13th Senior Minister of Grace Baptist Church of Blue Bell in August of 2006. Dr. Hawthorne comes to us from the First Baptist Church of Collingswood, NJ where he served as Senior Minister for 16 years.  He has also served as Adjunct Professor, Guest Lecturer and Counselor at Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Palmer Theological Seminary). He holds a Doctor of Ministry in Marriage and Family and a Master of Divinity from EBTS, and a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy from the University of Charleston, Charleston, WV. Dr. Hawthorne comes originally from Syracuse, NY, and is himself the son of an American Baptist minister.  He and his wife, Amy, a registered nurse working in the Cherry Hill Public Schools, have two daughters.  Jessica is a civil engineer and Emily is an occupational therapist. Barbara Ann Green, Director of Music

Barbara began her long tenure with the music ministry at Baptist Temple and now Grace Baptist Church of Bluebell 50 years ago when she was named assistant organist. She assumed the role of Music Director and moved with the church in 1975 when the church relocated to Blue Bell. Barbara and her husband Ken have two daughters, Kim and Amy, four grandchildren and live in Lansdale. Barbara directs the Sanctuary Choir and the Bell Choir.

 

 

 

 


 

 

Trish Simpson, Administrative Assistant

Trish joined the staff of Grace Baptist in July 1996.  She and her husband, Barry, have three adult children, Whitney, Stephanie and Travis, and live in Lansdale.  Trish is Bell Choir Director at her home church, Central Schwenkfelder Church, in Worcester, and is a private piano teacher.
